Ok real quick before I begin. HAPPY CYBER MONDAY. Check it below :)

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving break it was so nice to be back in TX with my family and friends. As always time goes so fast and it's time to be back in the city. My fam and I scored some amazing Black Friday finds! Anyone else have any luck? I'm excited to see what Cyber Monday brings (check out the above) onto the Red Riding Hood post.

Every time I wear this coat I feel like little Red Riding Hood. This coat doesn't have a hood, but you get the picture. I found it on sale at a resale shop and it's actually from Old Navy. Old Navy already has amazing deals so you can't even imagine how much I found this gem for...score!

Right now Old Navy has a lot of great winter finds. AH this vest (here) is such a great deal, I got it 30% off a few days ago. Shop my favorite coat picks herehere, and here.

Gift Guide #2 - For the Entertainer

Champs Flutes . Lips Painting . Golden Cocktail Shaker . Glitter Coasters . Dot Glasses . Lollia Candle (SMELLS AMAZING) . Gold Plate Charger . String Lights . Love Appetizer Plates . App Spreaders . Wine Cooler.

Happy Black Friday and who's ready for some holiday entertaining? I know I am! I started BYOV nights at my apt (bring yo own vino) and I think all of the above would fit quite nicely in my little apt. It's time to get in the festive mood and any of these gifts would make a hostess happy. I absolutely love all the glitzy gold kitchenware and bar accessories. AND the best part is it's all on sale woowoo!

The string lights above are soo cute. I have them up in my apt around a mirror (like this). Or you can place them in an empty vase to give your entertaining area a little glimmer (like this). AND who would't want a drink from a gold shaker? Friends and I have done some interesting shaker improvising...but we will save that story for another day ;) I think this is what we needed all a long.

Take a look and let me know your favorites!

A Healthy Thanksgiving Treat!

It's only a few days until Thanksgiving and I have been in a serious mood for some pieee. I didn't feel like going to the store and I wanted to make something with things that were already in my kitchen. SO I decided to try out a new recipe I found on Blogilates...A pumpkin pie mugcake. This "cake" is not only delicious but good for you too. It is super easy to make and it's tastes similar to the Starbucks pumpkin pie slice (no sugar).

I have literally made this 3 times in the last day. It's an easy quick breakfast/snack option, especially if you mix the dry ingredients ahead of time.

¼ cup oat flour
2 tablespoons Splenda
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
dash of Pumpkin Pie Spice
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ scoop vanilla protein powder
Pinch salt
¼ cup canned pumpkin
1 egg (or egg white)
1/8 cup almond milk

Non-fat greek yogurt
Torani Sugar-Free Syrup

1. Mix the oat flour (oats blended fine in a blender)
2. Add the rest of the ingredients to the bowl and mix well
3. Spray the bottom of a mug or small bowl with cooking spray.
4. Sprinkle the graham cracker pieces on the bottom (I did without the graham).  Pour the batter on top.
5. Microwave for 1:40 – 2:20, or until set but not overcooked.  Invert on a plate
6. Mix 2 tablespoons of greek yogurt with 1 teaspoon of flavoring syrup
7. Spread on the cake and add a dash of cinnamon to the top.

Woohoo for my first "Eats" post. Hope you enjoy! Let me know how yours turn out :) Delish.

Feather Fun

Topshop Feather Top . Zara Leggings . Guess Boots . Coach Handbag (similar here, and here) . Prima Donna Necklace (similar ones I love here, and here) .

Hope everyone is ready for some Turkey this week! I know I am. I'll be heading back to Texas on Wednesday for Thanksgiving and I cannot wait to be back in the homeland y'all. Words cannot describe the much needed family time. It's like no worries, my sis and I chillin in the backseat with mom and dad driving haha. I already have all the outfits packed and ready to go...I should after doing 7 loads of laundry. Which by the way costs a small fortune to do here :/ yay.  Ah it's going to be so nice to see my family and boyfriend. I'm so thankful for the time I am able to spend with them while living so far away.

This look is something I am really excited about posting. My top is the one I purchased from Topshop and I featured it in this previous post (here). It's a unique piece and I love the lace and feather details. I've seen TONS of feather elements on jackets, tops, skirts, and accessories this season. Love these feather Topshop picks here, here, here, and here. I wanted to keep it comfy and casual in my leggings (we went to the Central Park Zoo) but I know I can definitely dress this up with a sequin skirt or trousers. The entire top is sheer, so any cami/tank can add a pop of color. I love a multiple style piece...I feel like I really get my $$$ worth!

I wish the trees could stay like this all year! Everyone hurry up and come visit me before all the leaves fall off...I'll give ya the grand tour ;)

Thanks & Gig-em

Prima Donna Hat .  Jcrew Sweater (this was last year's Similar Here) . TJMaxx Skirt (Similar Here, Here & Here). Jcrew Tights (Similar) . Le Tanneur Handbag . Target Booties (Similar Here)
Hope everyone has had a great week so far. It's almost done, so hang in there...ONE MORE DAY. This look was inspired by non other than Aggie Game Day WHOOP! I'm sure most of you know I graduated from Texas A&M University and I sure do have a lot of maroon (anddd everyone should ). Unfortunately I was unable to see last week's game, but I still cheered the Aggies on with my style choice. Ugh the score wasn't exactly what we hoped for but hey, at least we looked good ;) With a few games left in the season, I thought it would be fun to show a fall outfit I would wear to game day/watching party.

Oh and you'll NEVER guess where I found these boots...Target. I bought them a few years ago, but they have  a shorter ankle version this year (in caption above). They are super comfy and they have been loved so much (a few scuffs and whatnot).

This bag is probably one of my favorite purchases of all time. Three summers ago I studied abroad in Europe. I went to London, Paris, Germany, Monaco, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria. I had the absolute best time of my life! The shopping was incredible and I discovered so many new brands and styles during my stay. About half way through the trip I decided I really wanted to find something special that I could only find in Europe. In Nice, France (which is absolutely gorgeous) I discovered Le Tanneur. This brand produces classic French leather goods, and that is exactly what I was looking for. The store smelled like a brand new car when I walked in...and then I saw it. The perfect French handbag. Since I bought this a few years ago, my bag is an older style but it comes from the Aussois Collection. It feels like butter and in the light the leather has a nice golden sheen. It's a classic style I know I'll keep forever.

Hopefully one day I can see Europe again..I met some pretty great people and made so many wonderful memories that summer.

Gift Guide #1 - Accessories

Hi everyone, and ALMOST Happy Holidays! I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but I wanted to kick off the season with a gift guide series. I'm hoping to come up with a few different gift guides to help out if you're in a gifting rutt. Sometimes it can be hard to find JUST the right thing, but I'm hoping this post can spark some holiday inspiration.

What a better way to begin than with accessories? I wasn't sure what to start with, but all of these seem to be pretty good choices (I mean I would be a happy camper). All of the above range from $5 to about $100 so there are different prices to choose from. I'm especially loving the bow gloves and 2015 planner. The planner can also be personalized (link in caption above) for a more personal touch...gotta get that New Year organized! That fur stole is sooo soft. I saw it in Zara last week, go check that out while you can.

Take a look, let me know your favs! More to come soon.

Classic Colors

BCBG MaxAzria Jacket (Similar) . American Eagle Button Down (similar) , Theory Skirt (Similar) . Louis Vuitton Bag . Tory Burch Bristol Booties (similar) .
Last weekend I decided to go with the classic colors. White, Brown, Black, and Grey. Sometimes when I'm not sure what to wear it's best to just stick with the basics. Time saving in the mornings is always a plus these days. They all pair nicely and create an effortless chic look. This is one of my favorite jackets and I'm happy it's finally cool enough to wear. I got an amazing deal on it (Half off) and I love the leather camel color. I have camel boots, bags, and belts and go great with it, very versitile. It's easy to just grab and pair with jeans or a skirt (as I did today).

Basically this whole outfit comes from older closet staples, so I tried to find similar pieces linked in the image caption (above).

Oh and below, that lipstick is my FAVORITE. I've gone through 2 whole sticks so that definitely tells you's doesn't stay on orrr I'm a lipstick fiend. (Let's go with the second one) ;)

Nars Lipstick in Christina

We had so much fun taking these pics in Central Park. This place seriously NEVER disappoints. My life long bestie and her hubs came in town this past weekend. We had soo much fun! We saw Wicked, ate our way through Chelsea Market (post coming soon) and had some much needed catch up time.

Winter White

Beanie (street beanie, similar here) . Zara Crew Neck Sweater . Zara Wool Coat . Guess Dandra Boots . Burberry Bag (sold out, Similar here)
Eeek I'm not ready for the winter! I'm still having too much fun enjoying this Fall weather. When I moved to NYC last February, I had a taste of what a real winter is like...and let me tell you, it's pretty dang cold up here. My mom invested in down puffer coats for the entire family. GO mom! She's a smart lady ;) Right now I'm able to get away with lighter wool jackets and layered clothing. I found this wool coat below at Zara a few months ago and figured I grab it while I could since things tend to move quickly in and out of stores (fast fashion hollaaa) It should still be available online, linked in the caption above.

My beanie was literally the last one on earth (that's how I felt) when I found it. Soo moving in Feb to a FREEZING city, beanies and hats tend to sell out. I finally found this one at a street cart, and don't worry I triple washed it ;) It's become one of my favorite cold weather accessories..happy easy hair days.

I've been wanting a pair of over the knee boots all season, and I finally found these on sale online. Shout out to the Urban Wrinkle girls for the style inspo. I keep wanting to wear skirts and dresses just so I can slip em on. They are pretty comfortable and keep you nice and warm.
