Lovely Lusts

1. Poncho 2. Tassel Necklace 3. Sunnies 4. Handbag 5. Lipstick 6. Jewel Cuff 7. Rainboots
Happy Halloween everyone! Today is a day for Lovely Lusts.

Soo I've been seeing 1. the Burberry Colour Block Check Blanket Poncho (long name) literally everywhere...Here, here, and here. I finally went and tried it on and it is quite lovely. It takes me back to my saddle blanket horse days. The equestrian look is a classic favorite of mine.

2. This tassel necklace would go with just about anything. A recent fashion presentation I attended inspired this pick. I have a few similar ones from Kendra Scott, but I do love the solid gold. It's all about the fringe this season.

3. I love these tortoise shell frames. Classic and chic for everyday.

4. Coach has definitely revamped their handbag assortment. I've noticed they are starting to carry more high-end bags..some bags are ticketing now over $1000. This calf-hair animal print bag is a great fall accessory. It's actually a mini little and tiny. The brown and light pink almost give it a plum color. Very pretty.

5. Nars. Love me some Nars. I've gone through 2 lipsticks in Christina. This limited edition color (Deadly Catch) is a part of the Nars Holiday 14 Collection. I'll have to go and test it sometime.

6. Isn't this jewel cuff pretty? It's a statement bracelet for sure! I think this would be a great piece to dress up a basic look. Comfy Sweater or Tee + Jeans + Flats + Cuff= DONE.

7. Fall here in NYC also means rain season. I currently do not own a pair of rain boots, and I think it's time to get with it. The bow is adorable on this pair. It adds a little something extra to the average boring boot.

Hope you all have a nice holiday...try not too eat too many candies and sweets. JK. DO IT. I know I am ;)

Hello ladies! You are soo very welcome because I just found something that will forever change your makeup lives ;) It's quite the eye opening product...get it? Ok just kidding, enough with the small talk.

But really I am loving the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Mascara by Younique. This is one of Younique's best selling products and I can understand why. The Moodstruck mascara is unlike anything I've ever used. It gives lashes a natural long/thick appearance. I'd say I have pretty average lashes and this stuff really pumps them up (doll-like). They don't look clumpy or heavy, which is something we all want in good mascara. No one wants chunky black goo. The application process is easy! You begin by applying the gel, then follow up with the fiber mascara (more details below).

I purchased my mascara from my lovely cousin. You can find her page here along with the rest of her Younique makeup line.

1) If you curl your lashes, do this first!

2) Apply a coat of the gel to one eye, from the base of your eyelashes to the tips.

3) Apply a coat of the fiber from about the middle of your eyelashes to the tips. REMEMBER - there is no need to start the fibers at the base of your lashes. Starting the fibers at the base of the lashes can just cause bits of the product to get in your eyes. For best results, you want to start the fibers at about the middle of your eyelashes.

4) Apply another coat of the gel from the base of your eyelashes to the tips to seal the fibers in place.

5) Repeat this process on the other eye, and Voila! Beautiful

Speckles and Plaid

Mango Scarf. Sweater (Similar) . Hudson Jeans, Vince Camuto Bag . Lucky Brand Booties. Prima Donna Hat

Hi here is my styling of the famous Pinterest Scarf from my last post. It is the perfect wrap to throw on for the weekend. I'm obsessed with the texture and thickness it's so warm. I didn't think it was cold enough for a jacket..this was a nice choice. I LOVE my Vince Camuto cross body bag. I have a lot of Vince Camuto boots and shoes, but this bag really jumped out at me on my way out of work. The gold hardware and black and white speckles are surprisingly versatile with my closet. I've been seeing a lot of animal print bags and clutches lately. These options here, here, and here inspired my speckle bag purchase.

I wore this look for brunch, keeping it casual. This weekend was definitely jam packed with friends visiting and I'm so happy to have some Texas love in town.

Ah I love my neighborhood! NYC visitors- If you stand in a certain spot in Madison Square Park, you can see the Empire State Building and the Flatiron Building. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Plaid Blanket Scarf

Image -
Ok...soo I've literally had at least three different people ask me if I know where the coveted Pinterest/Instagram plaid blanket scarf can be found. Good news, I foundddd it! I know last year a lot of people found this scarf at Zara. When I decided I had to have it, Zara unfortunately decided NOT to have it. womp.

But don't you worry, that did not stop me ;) So far I have found Target, Asos, and Mango to have it in stock. You can't order it online from Target, but I'm pretty sure the site will find a store nearby that has it. I originally ordered the scarf from Asos, but then on my way home from work I found the last one at the Mango on 34th street...Hollaaa. This scarf is really thick and folds out into a large oversized blanket. It's perfect for snuggling in my office hut, since it's basically winter at my desk.

I've probably posted this scarf a million times on my Pinterest page, and I know a lot of you have as well. Hopefully this helps you find what you need! Below are a few of my favorite style pins featuring the scarf. I'll experiment in the closet and see what I come up with.  I'll most likely be adding to the plaid scarf insta pic collection.

Leather Leggings & Rockstuds

Francesca's Sweater (similar) . Turtleneck . Leggings . Valentino Rockstud Flats . Rebecca Minkoff Handbag (similar)
Happy Humpp DAY! This past sunday a friend and I decided to take a walk around Central Park. It's getting cooler outside and this maroon sweater (whoop) is the perfect cozy top to throw on. I'm sure you'll be seeing me in it a lot this season. Here, here, and here are a few of my favorite faux leather leggings pins. I've been seeing them everywhere so I had to get a pair. Since we all practically live in leggings this time of the year I'm glad someone found a way to update the look.
My Rebecca Minkoff bag has definitely been through some rough times. It's still one of my favorite go to bags. I love the classic nude color.
As for the Valentino flats I found them at a resale shop here in NYC for an amazing deal. I was excited when I saw them. Mine. If I could have any pair I would looooove these here for fall. Maybe one day ;)

After our stroll through the park, we made our way to the Upper West Side. This is one of my favorite neighborhoods. All of the town homes are absolutely beautiful and beautifully decorated for the fall.

Apple Pickin + Plaid

Zara Sweater . Plaid Shirt (similar) . Bangles here & here . Zara Leggings (similar) . Kendra Scott Necklace & Earrings .
Hope you all are having a nice weekend. I know I am...the weather is amazing right now. Definitely taking advantage of this lovely day today.

Yesterday a few friends and I went apple picking in Warwick, NY. It was so nice getting out of the city for the day. I felt like I was on a mini vacation playing in the orchard. Applewood Orchard is about 2 hours outside of the city and I loved the scenery along the way. Orangey red yellow trees, little red barns, and hills lined the TX self was sooo into it haha. We picked apples and took tons of pictures in the pumpkin patch. There was also a wine/cider tasting which we did of course and at the end a gift shop where I purchased some apple butter...along with some Pumpkin Cidar. Yum.

Vince Camuto Boots (Similar)

Ima bake an apple pieeeee.

Here are a few snaps from the farm. It was a gorgeous day to walk along the trails.

Charming Charlie Bangles here & here

Oh and highlight of the day. I met Toast! The world's cutest King Charles Pup with a floppy tongue and NYC's newest IT girl. She was busy making her rounds and being fabulous. You can follow her here.

Lovely Lusts - Fall Edition

Illume CandleInfinity ScarfCardigan . Tartan Scarf . Hat (similar) . Booties (Simliar). Clutch
Happy Fall everyone! I know it's definitely been awhile since the last Glossy&Glitzy post, but I'm back :) I think I've finally got the hang of this crazy city life. Things are falling into place and I am so happy and couldn't be more thankful for the past 8 months here.

NYC is constantly tempting me with its beautiful flagship stores, sample sales, resale shops, and store windows on my walk to work. On my morning walks I also notice it's Fall...A real actual Fall. Not like Texas "Fall". However, the weather here is also at an awkward point. Some days are chilly and some surprisingly warm (like today). Dressing up in the morning is kind of a guessing game at this point. Jacket? Riding Boots? or Skirt??

Scarves, knits, hats, and booties are all over my fall shopping list. I know the candle is random, but it smells amazing.

Here are a few Lovely Lusts. Fall Edition :)
