Sail Awayy

Ah what a wonderful past few weeks it has been. This Spring Break in the city is definitely the coldest break I have had so far. Lucky you Texas friends and family who have been hanging out poolside. Jealous, no bikinis or sun for me. BUT I did have a wonderful time on a boat this week. For my birthday Chayson booked a dinner cruise on the Hudson River. It was perfect! We saw a ton of great sites and the food was delicious. Here are a few pics from the evening.

Top: MM Couture // Skirt: Chelsea and Violet // Taupe Tights: Target // Boots: Tory Burch // Earrings: Local Boutique
Thank you for the sweet comments on my outfit! I got the top and skirt both from Dillards last year. I tried finding the links to them but I didn't see anything. They were purchased during the holiday season and there are still a few sequin holiday pieces still marked down in a few of the department stores. Soo hurry and grab some sparkle! Also I wasn't sure if the oversized earrings would be too much, but I really liked how the finished look turned out. They are definitely wear your hair down earrings for sure. I think my mom got them for me at a local boutique.

David Yurman - YAY it all matches now <3

I'm still trying to figure out the settings on my camera...everything looks great in the daytime. Nighttime photos are a whole different story.

The IT Bags Have IT All

Last week I made a trip to Saks on 5th and basically I wanted every single handbag in the store. Talk about some major eye candy...I think I need to start a handbag fund for my next purchase...or really hope I'm good for Santa ;) Here are a few of my favorites.

Have a great weekend.

West Village Doors <3
I had such a great morning yesterday. A few former Aggies and I met with students from the TAMU Center for Retailing studies for breakfast. It's always nice to see everyone again and share whats been happening. NYC can always use a few more Aggies Whoop! I wore the above camel blazer with a grey H&M skirt and tights for the morning and then slipped on a pair jeans for another day of exploring (West Village & Finc District). These are my favorite jeans and I actually purchased them at a sample sale..score. They are really soft and I love the dark blue wash. Luckily the weather wasn't bad so I was decently warm in my blazer and button up. Comfy neutrals are a classic favorite of mine. Camel, white, black, and jeans always seem to pair nicely.

Today no one in NYC needs to go anywhere. Chayson and I attempted to stand in the Cronut line this morning. I'm sorry Dominique Ansel but these Texas peeps could NOT handle the blowing winds/15 degree weather for the Cronut. Holy moly I've never been in weather like this it was so coldddd. I thought I was prepared but what seemed to be an awesome idea turned out to really suck at we came home. Womp. We settled for Dunkin Donuts and now I'm staying warm and watching movies for the day. Hope everyone is having a great week!

Bundled in the Village

Jacket - Iman // Sweater - Catos // Necklace - Pine Boutique // Bag - Coach // Jeans - TJmaxx // Boots - Vince Camuto
Hi everyone, it sure has been a busy week! Unpacking, organizing, and exploring my new home is what I've been up to these days. I'm waiting for most of my boxes to arrive, but I managed to find some great room decos at TJmaxx. So far the apartment is a work in progress, but it's definitely coming along. My job doesn't start until next week and I'm so thankful to have this time to settle in and relax. Chayson is also here for the week so it's nice to have the boyfriend with me again for one FINAL Spring Break <3 I absolutely love the Flatiron area, it's so convenient being so close to everything. There's a ton of fun restaurants, bars, and shops to explore...eeek.
Yesterday we did some grocery shopping in East Village and walked around Soho. I have been looking for another hat here...which oddly is difficult to find with incoming Spring items. Personally, I think it's way too cold to be thinking about anything Spring. That being said, I have been dying to wear my Iman faux fur jacket. It is soo soft and I love the chocolate color. It's not too thick, so I layered it with a tank and sweater. Layering is definitely the key to survival here. Also, I thought the emerald accessories and jeans would be a nice color to mix in (hi Spring?)

Necklace - Pine Boutique // Earrings - Kendra Scott (LOVE the emerald)

DELICIOUS Treat from Eataly <3
We made a stop at Eataly on 5th and I'm not sure if that was the best idea...the desserts look amazing and taste equally as amazing ha
